At long last SZA has released Ctrl (Deluxe), an updated version of Ctrl which includes seven previously unreleased tracks: “Love Galore (Alt Version),” “2AM,” “Miles,” “Percolator,” “Tread Carefully,” “Awkward” and ”Jodie.”
The releases comes on the the fifth anniversary of the release of Ctrl, a debut album released on June 9, 2017, that transformed the New Jersey-raised SZA (real name Solána Imani Rowe) into a bonafide music star.
SZA took to Twitter to announce the news where she wrote, “This is JUST a gift for camp ctrl . Nothing more nothing less . if u family you get it . 5 yrs is a long time . Thank you for changing my life I love you . Happy anniversary.”
SZA described the songs as “not new,” noting they were recorded between 2014 and 2017. She added she might release additional songs on Soundcloud. “What isn’t on deluxe maybe on SoundCloud as well tomorrow? Deciding . Spring cleaning old thoughts,” she wrote.
Ctrl (Deluxe) is now available on all streaming channels.
