Music creative Willow has announced her second album, a project dubbed COPINGMECHANISM that further leans into the rock sound she began to experiment with on her debut album. She has provided a preview of the album with debut single “Hover Like Goddess,”
Sharing her thoughts on her vision for the project with Billboard, the 21-year old musician and actor explained, ”I wanted to go for rock. I didn’t want to go for pop punk. I didn’t want to go for what’s necessarily popular right now. I wanted to go for the heart of rock music, which to me is a deep outcry, maybe about pain, maybe about joy.”
Appropriately reflective of her edgier sound, Willow was shot in an editorial by Billboard featuring pieces by the very of-the-moment Bed on Water, a four-year-old label designed by Bronx-native Shanell Campbell.
