Model Adesuwa Aighewi has unveiled an exquisite jewelry and bag collection inspired by her Nigerian, Thai and Chinese heritage. Produced with silversmiths in Thailand, the design aesthetic is anchored on the representation of Benin historical figures with Ghanaian beads, precious stones, pure silver and pearls from China.

Conceptualized during the early days of the pandemic in 2020, the debut collection is inspired by the concept of home as envisioned through a multicultural lens.

Reflecting on what she defines as home, Aighewi told British Vogue, “The pandemic made me ask: Where is my home? Is it America, where I was born? Thailand, where my mum was born? Nigeria, where my dad is from, and where I grew up until the age of 13? Home is where you have the most resources, where you feel safest.”

Priced from $400-$6,000, Legacy is now available at legacy.world.
