Bronx rapper Ice Spice has dropped “Bikini Bottom,” a single produced by RiotUSA who also produced her breakout “Munch (Feeling U)” single. As noted by fans, the song’s beat takes inspiration from “Spongebob SquarePants” theme music as subverted with subsonic bass and 808s.
In the visual, Ice Spice (real name Isis Gaston) takes on the City, pulling up to Times Square in a bus filled with 20 of her besties. One day after being released, the video has already racked up one million views on YouTube where it’s currently No. 7 on the platform’s trending list.
“Bikini Bottom” follows “Munch (Feelin U),” a viral hit that reached the top five of Billboard‘s Bubbling Under Hot 100 and the top 40 of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, leading the pub to award her with Hip-Hop Rookie Of The Month honors.
