SZA was the music guest on “Saturday Night Live” last night (December 3, 2022) where she performed new song “Blind,” a single she introduced as an outro on her “Shirt” video. In an episode hosted by KeKe Palmer (who announced her pregnancy), SZA opened with “Shirt,” the first single from her upcoming album S.O.S.
On Twitter, SZA (real name Solána Rowe) announced S.O.S. will drop on December 9th with a preview of her “Blind” video.
Styled by Alejandra Hernandez, SZA took it back to her cozy roots with a vintage Harley Davidson t-shirt paired with oversized black pants for her opening number. For “Blind,” she wore a menswear-inspired look custom made by Ketch paired with a vintage New Era Seattle Mariners cap, a piece provided by Michael LaPilusa. SZA’s makeup was handled by Deanna Paley while Devante Turnbull style her hair.
For her three pre-show promotional looks, she wore a cut-out Khiry dress from the label’s spring ’23 runway, made from reconstructed college t-shirts. She also wore a vintage NY Jets varsity jacket and NY Mets varsity jacket.
