New York-based Supreme has opened it first store in Seoul, the compay’s first stand-alone store in Asia outside its six stores in Japan. The store opened on Saturday (August 19, 2023) and as is tradition included the launch of a Seoul-specific box log t-shirt. The shirt was sold alongside the brand’s fall 2023 collection, which launch in stores globally
The store is the 16th location for Supreme and is located in Seoul’s Gangnam area, a neighborhood known for its upscale shops, which include a nearby Louis Vuitton and Haus Dosan location.
Designed by London-based design studio Brinkworth, the 2,273 square-foot store includes a mural by Rita Ackermann (whose work is featured is also featured in the Chicago store) and a collage by Weirdo Dave. Suspended from the ceiling, there are two plywood speakers designed by Devon Turnbull.
At the center of the store, there’s a bench, a super-sized version of a Supreme money stack paperweight from the brand’s fall 2017 collection.
Supreme’s new Seoul store is located at 648 Sinsa-Dong Gangnam-Gu, Seoul.
