Lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret made it retun to fashion presentations, hosting a party during New York Fashion Week at the Manhattan Center on Wednesday (September 6, 2023) night where guests enjoyed a screening of “The Tour,” a film featuring a performance by Doja Cat alongside a look at the lives of the VS20, a group of 20 global creatives including Melissa Valdes, Cristina Sánchez Salamanca, Margot Bowman and Umi Ishihara, among others.
Shortly after the event, Doja Cat took to Instagam Stories where she let followers know she had entered her “compaining era, my f–king Karen era,” a declaration she issued as part of a scathing review of her black black gown, which was provided by Victoria’s Secret.
Noting that the straps on the plunging slip dress were not adjustable, Doja Cat wrote, “all the way down to your knee and all you asked for was a slip dress but I digress. im in my complaining era, my f–cking karen era. A bitch coulda got a uti but the hole real resilient.
In a second stoy, Doja wrote, “all 4 lips out swinging in the f–king breeze but I make lemons out of lemonade What a beautiful night MINUS them unadjustable straps.
Not quite ready, she added, “when I tell you the panty was built into the dress, so when I put it on the shoulder straps pulled the string up through my cervix and split me like a block of sharp chedder cheese a bitch never thought she could get manhandled by a piece of fabric. The panties on this contraption too me under the bleachers and ransacked my s–t.”
Slamming the door shut on her rant, she laid out her plans for the dress, noting, “feeding it to the moths”
While the dress was uncomfortable, it appears Doja Cat still managed to have a good time and when she exited the party she was still wearing the dress. As always with Doja Cat, there’s a good chance she was doubling down on describing her discomfort in the name of providing her followers with a chuckle.
