New Zealand-born choreographer and Nike ambassador Parris Goebel has provided official timing for her Nike Dunk Low sneaker (style code: FN2721-600), her inaugural effort with the brand. Celebrating the ying and yang of feminine and masculine energy, the shoe features a glossy pink and matte bronze upper detailed with a jade Swoosh. Reflecting the count of a dance routine, the number 5678 is stitched into the interior tongue, while a dubrae doubles as a removable charm.
Expressing her thoughts on first collaboration with Nike, Goebel told Footwear News, “My choice of sneaker for dancing has always been a Nike Dunk. I have so many fond memories of creating and dancing in the shoe. As someone whose personal style is a mix of feminine and masculine, it was important for me to select colors and materials that balance between masculine and feminine energy. I want everyone to see themselves in my shoe, no matter how they identify.”
Priced at $125 and available in women’s sizes 5-12, Nike and Parris Goebel’s Dunk Low will pre-launch for select reserved-for-you Nike members on October 17, 2023. The shoe officially will launch on nike.com at 10:00 AM EST on October 24, 2023.
