Music collective Grouptherapy has dropped a fresh rendition of their breakout single “Nasty,” featuring the lyrical prowess of Baby Tate. The single was initially released as part of the group’s 16-song debut album titled i was mature for my age, but i was still a child, and has racked up over 50 million views on TikTok.
In press about the release, the group shared, “We always knew we wanted to do a remix to ‘Nasty.” It was just a question of who and when would be the right fit. We put the open verse challenge up on TikTok and Baby Tate absolutely killed it so we just hit her up like, ‘You wanna be on the song?’ It was perfectly organic.”
Hailing from Los Angeles, the trio, comprised of Jadagrace, SWIM, and TJOnline, share a bond that spans over 15 years, having found solidarity and kinship during the tumultuous chapters of their youth within the entertainment industry.
