Swiss watch maker Audemars Piguet has teamed with Australian haute couture designer Tamara Ralph (who founded Ralph & Russo) on a Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon timepiece designed exclusively for women.
Revealed during Haute Couture Week on Ralph’s spring 2024 runway in Paris, the timepiece features an 18-carat pink gold case adorned with frosted gold, while the dial features graded shades of brown, bronze, and gold, adding another level of fashion sophistication to the watch.
Commenting on the partnership, Ralph said in a press release, “My intention for the design of this piece is for it to capture the spirit and craftsmanship of both my brand as well as Audemars Piguet. The complications of watchmaking orchestrate a foundation which can be played with in terms of textures, colors and designs, allowing for the savoir-faire of couture to shine through.”
Audemars Piguet and Ralph first partnered in 2020 when the watch labels designes were featured as part of the label’s spring 2021 prêt-à-porter collection.
The partnership reinforces Audemars Piguet’s longstanding commitment to fostering connections with various creatives, which have included a collaboration with Travis Scott‘s Cactus Jack brand as well as Matthew M Williams‘ 1017 ALYX 9SM label.
Limited to just 100 pieces, the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon is available upon request on Audemars Piguet’s official website.
