New Balance and shoe designer Salehe Bembury have provided some more details on their 1906R collaboration. Dubbed “Heat Be Hot,” the retro running shoe will be availalbe in two gradient hues dubbed lava (orange, yellow and silver) and magma (red, blue, orange and purple).
Building excitement, Bembury took to Instagram on Monday (January 8, 2024) where he published a visual of an exploding, handmade volcano not unlike those assocated with science school expermients.
A celebration of vibrant colors, the magma sneaker boasts a cherry red base, complemented by two shades of blue overlays and subtle hits of purple, harmonizing with the tongue and a distinctive two-tone sole unit. The heel cage introduces yet another shade of purple, while the lace loops positioned above the N logo exhibit a deeper red hue.
Priced at $170, New Balance and Bembury’s “Heat Be Hot” 1960R sneakers will release at 12:00 PM EST on January 11, 2023, on Bembury’s ecommerce site beasponge.com.
