New York-based Daniel’s Leather lead by Nadeem Waheed presented the label’s fourth annual fashion show on Saturday (February 10, 2024), an event held during New York Fashion Week. Appropriately titled “The New Yorker In You,” the show was staged in a Bushwick loft and exuded a palpable New York cool. Set to the beats of DJ Tre Romeo, a diverse array of models graced the runway, flaunting opulent outerwear, ranging from cropped jackets to floor-length shearlings and closing with a dramatic floor-dragging pink fur coat.
Post-show, we caught up with Waheed to inquire about his motivation for hosting fashion shows. He explained, “We found that it was a great way to showcase our new designs, colors, but also to gather the community that has supported us all these years.”
Among the esteemed guests were rappers DreamDoll and Jim Jones, hair stylist Arrogant Tae and SRL Jewels creative director, Telli Michaels, among others.
