Boxing equipment brand Everlast has teamed with New York’s Overthrow Boxing Club, known as the “Home of Underground Boxing” to celebrate the relaunch of Punk, a pioneering publication documenting the early days of the New York punk scene. The collaboration comprises of a limited capsule collection of apparel and accessories rooted in the rebellious spirit and DIY ethos of the punk movement.
Founded in 1975 by by cartoonist John Holmstrom, Punk played a key role in reporting on New York’s underground punk rock scene, which at the time was centered by New York’s CBGB and Max’s Kansas City, clubs known for providing a venue for punk bands. Punk published 15 issues between 1976 and 1979, as well as a special issue in 1981
Everlast, Overthrow Boxing Club and Punk Magazine’s capsule will be sold at Dover Street Market locations in New York and Los Angeles and at Overthrow on Bleecker Street, plus online at everlast.com starting February 6, 2024.
