James Whitaker’s The Whitaker Group, the umbrella company for Social Status, APB, Prosper and A Ma Maniér, has once again linked with New Balance for two-shoe 1906U capsule dubbed “Willful Bias.” The shoe’s upper combines mesh and synthetic overlays, some of which are reflective. The electric teal colorway incorporates gulf red and olivine hues, while the sand dune version showcases washed amber and team red tones.
The capsule was were announced with a campaign video titled “Building Better Together.” According to a press release, the project emphasizes “the importance of building dedicated spaces to help creatives, creators, and entrepreneurs discover, develop, and grow their craft.”
Priced at $170, The Whitaker Group and New Balance’s 1906U “Willful Bias” sneakers will be available via a general raffle starting July 8, 2024 on Social Status, APB, Prosper, and A Ma Maniére’s websites. Following the raffle, the shoes will officially launch on July 19th at 11 AM EST online and in-store at Social Status, APB, Prosper, and A Ma Maniére.
