London-based Irish designer Sinéad O’Dwyer, the recipient of the 2024 Zalando Visionary Award, showcased her spring 2025 collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week. Titled “Everything Opens To Touch” and held at the picturesque Opera Park, the presentation was an optimistic and bright display of style and art.
Sculptures by artist Jade O’Belle providided a visually captivating backdrop with sounds curated by Witch Trials and Cosha, along with anpoem by London-based writer Anastasiia Fedorova.
O’Dwyer’s commitment to inclusivity was a defining feature of the collection. The runway showcased plus-size models, emphasizing the designer’s dedication to body diversity. A historic moment unfolded as Lucy Edwards became the first blind model to walk at Copenhagen Fashion Week, accompanied by her guide dog. This milestone highlighted the brand’s ongoing efforts to make fashion accessible to all.
The collection itself reimagined some of O’Dwyer’s signature designs, including shibari-inspired harnesses and micro-culottes, while also marking the introduction of denim into her repertoire. The pieces range from casual, everyday wear, to playful dressier dresses and separates.
Grounds Footwear provided innovative footwear, including bubble-soled shoes with lace-up uppers inspired by Irish dancing shoes and thong sandal silhouettes. Savage X Fenty contributed lingerie, visible under layers of denim and fine wool. Ecco supplied handbags, which were customized with O’Dwyer’s signature “Squiggle” stretch nylon.
