Paris-based Y/Project label is shutting down after 14 years.The Y/Project website currently features the closing announcement and a photo of former creative director Glenn Martens with team members past and current. The closing note was a also posted on the brand Instagram account and reads,
“It is with great gratitude and sadness that the Y/Projectteam announces we will be officially closing the brand after 14 incredible years. We could not have achieved such success without the unwavering support of our Y/P partners, collaborators, and fans and we cannot extend enough thanks to you all for your unwavering dedication throughout the years.
We especially want to thank Glenn Martens, Pascal Contejodra , and the late Gilles Elalouf and Yohan Serfaty for giving us Y/Project and the chance to create and grow together.

Y/Project was established in 2010 by Moroccan-born Yohan Serfaty and his partner, Gilles Elalouf. After Serfaty’s passing in 2013, Glenn Martens took over as the brand’s creative director. In June 2024, Gilles Elalouf, who held the role of president, also passed away. Martens announced his departure from the brand shortly thereafter.Y/project evolved under Martens to become a beacon of creativity that was truly desirable and memorable.
