Newly-appointed Burberry designer Riccardo Tisci checked in with British Vogue to provide a clearer understanding on his long term vision for the brand. Appointed Burberry’s creative officer in March 201 with one presentation under his belt, Tisci explained, “I want to sustain the Burberry heritage, but I also want to go with the times, with modernity. I want people to come to Burberry and buy a beautiful trench, a beautiful car coat, a beautiful suit, a beautiful evening dress, beautiful trainers. Not just one product; I want to make it more open, more democratic.”
The article includes styled pieces from his debut spring 2019 collection, as photographed by Willy Vanderperre and modeled by Kate Moss, Lily James, Jess Glynne and Stella Tennant, among others.
