Houston-born rapper Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) today (May 21, 2019) released a visual for “Realer” the debut video from her 14-song “Fever” project. Directed by Munachi Osegbu, the video pays tribute to the cinematic themes of the Blaxploitation-era films.
The visual opens with grainy text that reads: “Houston has a problem. Megan Thee Stallion and Thee Hotties will solve it. Ill Will Jackson, a known hater, is spewing junk across the city and up to no good. Thee Stallion and Hotties plot to bring Ill Will Jackson to his knees with a fever that will never be forgotten.”
While Megan and Thee Hotties don’t take down Jackson in the video, they look great wheeling around in a vintage drop top as they hunt him down.
Looks in the video were styled by Meg’s stylist, Todd White, who was assisted by Mad Bad Ting. Megan and her Hotties (Hot Girl Kel, Demon and Kelsey) wear latex bodysuits via Bizarre Fetish Couture while Megan layers her look with Chanel accessories.
