Alongside opening day for The Lion King movie, Beyoncé today (July 19, 2019) released a 14-track album titled The Lion King: The Gift. The album was produced and curated by the 37-year-old powerhouse, who has referred to it as a “love letter to Africa” reflecting inclusion from multiple artists from Nigeria, Camaroon and South Africa.
Beyoncé has four solo songs on the album alongside collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, and her daughter, Blue Ivy.
