The temperatures for summer ’19 just shot up a solid ten degrees with news Nicki Minaj is jumping on Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Hot Girl Summer,” a single also featuring Ty Dolla Sign.
The collaboration between Minaj and Meg follows an impromptu online meeting between the two on Instagram live last week (July 28, 2019). Minaj was holding court with the Barbz in the middle of the night when they alerted her that Meg was trying to join the hang out session. After much fiddling Minaj was able to figure out how to bring Megan into the conversation and the duo had a cute exchange that included discussion of Minaj jumping on the single. Apparently the conversation continued afterwards, leading to verses from Minaj.
On Instagram, the Queens-born legend wrote, “Chile who put me on the artwork? Did I rlly do a verse for this song the night we got off that live, Hottie?”
Look for the track to drop on August 9th.
