New York-based Pyer Moss‘ talk-of-the-town New York Fashion Week runway presentation for spring 2020 had no shortage of big moments. One of the star looks of the runway included a striking mini dress and over-the-knee pair of boots detailed with a water color painting by Richard Phillips, a 72-year-old artist who was exonerated in 2017 after 45 years wrongfully spent in a Michigan prison.
While the art on the boots was by Phillips, the boots were part of a footwear capsule made in collaboration with Aurora James, who heads up Brooklyn-based label Brother Vellies.
The capsule ranges from strappy, high-heel sandals to knit upper and leather boots including a collection of ankle high croc cowboy boot offered in black, kelly green and baby blue.
