Sanrio has linked with Amsterdam-based label JimmyPaul for a Hello Kitty capsule. Revealed as part of JimmyPaul’s spring ’20 London Fashion Week runway, according to label designers Jimmy Paul and Marie Burlot, the collaborative collection takes inspiration from Kintsugi, a Japanese art form themed on the repair of broken pottery, as well as Furoshiki, which celebrates present wrapping.
The presentation, which included an appearance by Hello Kitty herself, included a combination of custom pieces styled with the items included in the capsule.
Prices range from 19 euros for a key chain up to 89 euros for a sweater and 179 euros for a bow-festooned laptop tote. The collection is available globally and has an estimated ship date of October 2019.
