In celebration of the release of Queen & Slim, designer Melody Ehsani will host a “ME Speak Series” in Los Angeles on November 30, 2019 featuring the film’s director Melina Matsoukas. As part of the event, the label has revealed two t-shirts featuring stills from the film.
Written by Lena Waithe, Queen & Slim is making waves as a contemporary black love story that’s drawn comparisons to both Bonnie and Clyde and Thelma and Louise. Starring Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Smith, the visually compelling film was styled by Shionat Turini with a soundtrack directed by Dev Hynes.
While the t-shirts will be available at the “ME Speaker Series,” as of now the label hasn’t provided details on when the t-shirts will see a wider release.
