Reflecting an ever-expanding population of sneaker-loving women, illustrator Sophia Chang and Australian-born, avid sneaker collector Romy Samuel (who works at Kith) have announced the launch of Common Ace, an online retail site focused on the female customer.
Open as of May 15, 2020, the site is described as a one-stop shop, offering a edited selection of branded sneakers silhouettes, which are available to purchase through affiliate links at an array of top retail accounts.
Press announcing the site reads, “Powered by authentic voices and technology, we believe in an online marketplace for women to have access to shop seamlessly. Accompanied with intelligent design, we are here to deliver a superior online experience. Our vision is to create a wider marketplace for customers, retailers and brands.”
The genius of the site goes back to Chang and Samuel, who as engaged and veteran members of sneaker culture, understand what brands and silhouettes matter to women. As such, the site is a great platform for sneaker culture OGs as well as women who are in search of direction and information.
The site is now open to the public at commonace.com.
