Nike makes a big design statement with the Ispa Road Warrior debuted in a Volt colorway (style code: CI0983-100). The sneaker makes references to its own Air Rift silhouette vis-a-vis Maison Margiela‘s famed split toe Tabi as blended with a modified version of the brand’s Shox outsole while also shouting out Off White‘s zip tie detail.
According to Nike press: “The Road Warrior references the pioneering design of the two-hour marathon breaking Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next% and the energy return of the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT. The open floating heel borrows from early Nike Shox prototypes, but shifts from the boing boing effect of the pillars to incorporate double stack zoom pods and double under foot plates.”
Like we said it’s a lot but somehow makes perfect sense for the insanity that is 2020. Priced at $500, this sneaker will launch on July 17th at 10 AM EST.
