Stüssy continues its run of collaborations with news of an effort with No Vacancy Inn, a label directed directed by Tremaine Emory, Ade ‘Acyde’ Odunlami and Brock Korsan.
Press describing the trio reads, “After several years of partying, sharing hangover remedies, book recommendation and hotel bills they joined forces to apply their unique cultural viewpoint to nightlife, music, radio and fashion. Their ongoing rehabilitation includes helping to educate the next generation about the history and context of art, music and style.”
Leaning into the look of old school sportswear, the offerings are highlighted by a whale cord suit, a packable coat, tie-dye sweater, hoodie, sweatpants and a co-branded t-shirt, a collection described in press as “an unfussy, authentic modern wardrobe.”
Offerings are a nostalgic look at a more freewheeling, ’70s and ’80s-era lifestyle as epitomized in movies such as Weekend at Bernies‘, author Hunter S. Thompson’s The Flight and The Lost Weekend, a film documenting John Lennon’s life during a period in the mid-’70s.
Musing on the collection, Emory zeroed in on the knit top with tie dye sleeves. On Instagram he wrote, “Knit sweater with the tye die sleeves is the sleeper in this collection…be quick on Friday.”
As of now, there’s no pricing, but you can anticipate the capsule will launch on September 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM PST.
