The month of November brings Grammy Awards nominations with the Recording Academy showing it actually does care about female musicians with a list of nominees full of many of the female artists we highlight each month.
Beyoncé topped 2021’s Grammy Award nomination list with nine categories. Meanwhile, artists Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift claimed six nominations each with Megan thee Stallion and Billie Eilish garnering three nominations each.
For the best new artist category five out of eight nominees were women: Ingrid Andress, Phoebe Bridgers, Chika, Noah Cyrus, Doja Cat and Megan thee Stallion.
November was also full of great new releases by women with potential for consideration for next year’s Grammy’s. This month’s Snobette Sounds features singles by or featuring Megan thee Stallion, Mulatto, BIA, DaniLeigh, City Girls, Jorja Smith, Nicki Minaj, Billie Eilish, Mýa, Willow Smith, Jahnavi Harrison, Jazmine Sullivan, Kash Doll, Mulatto, Kelese, UMI and Tinashe.
