Los Angeles Laker LeBron James turned sneaker-watcher heads when he made his walkway appearance last night (March 7, 2021) for the NBA All Star game in Atlanta.
Wearing head-to-toe designer, his outfit was highlighted by a pair of Nike and Off-White Air Force 1 kicks featuring a new university yellow upper and a silver Swoosh. For some added flair, LeBron’s shoes were hand detailed by Off-White and Louis Vuitton menswear designer Virgil Abloh.
Using a black marker, Abloh added the phrases “BLACK LIVES MATTER,” “LE BRON” and “VIRGIL WAS HERE” to the midsole of the shoes.
In addition to the sneakers, James wore a St. Michael and Denim Tears varsity jacket, Thom Browne sweatpants and Gucci and The North Face socks.
As of yet, Nike hasn’t provided any information on the timing of the shoe’s launch though given the prominent showcasing of the shoe by James, the drop is likely to be sooner rather than later.
