Los Angeles-based Fear of God as directed by Jerry Lorenzo has announced plans for a spring 2021 Essentials drop which will include the debut of Essentials Kids. Silhouettes include a lightweight jacket, hoodie, crewneck, half zip, polo shirt, t-shirt, denim jeans, sweatpants, shorts and snapback caps, all of which are themed on a black, moss, taupe or cream colorway. There’s also a butter yellow colorway, which may be a children’s exclusive based on lookbook images.
Essentials’ spring 2021 lookbook was shot by Shaniqwa Jarvis and incudes Jerry himself, along his wife, Desiree Manuel, and children, Jerry Manuel 3rd, Liv Manuel and Mercy Manuel.
As with prior Essentials collections, the mostly-cotton garments are sized for a comfy fit and are detailed with dual Fear of God and Essentials branding. For the upcoming collection, branding is placed on the back of adult’s garments and on the front of children’s. Essentials Kids will be be offered in early toddler to pre-teen sizing.
Priced from $30-$150, Essentials’ spring 2021 drop will launch on fearofgod.com on May 12, 2021, followed by a launch at the brand’s partner retail including Better Generation, END Clothing, Isetan, PacSun, Mr Porter, Nordstrom, Selfridges, Social Status, Ssense, United Arrows and Why Are You Here on May 14th. As per usual, the label hasn’t yet provided timing though most Essentials drops launch at 10:00 or 11:00 AM EST.
