Stylish man about town A$AP Nast provides a first look at a hoodie from what we presume is an upcoming Prada and Stüssy partnership. Nast paired the ochre-colored dual logo top with an OG Gucci web belt.
Once the last bastions of a you-can’t-sit-with-us design mentality, Prada and other European luxury houses are now splashing around with abandon in the collab pool.
In addition to Stüssy, Prada also has an ongoing partnership with Adidas and recently released a capsule through Homer, Frank Ocean‘s accessory label. As well, Miuccia Prada herself has brought on Raf Simons to help design the Prada line.
Whatever you may think of luxury label collabs, it represents a real shift in behavior. The change is noteworthy because it has its roots in streetwear, a counterculture movement that’s become incredible influential in not just fashion, but also marketing and distribution.
