Brooklyn-born rapper Leikeli47 has released a music video for her latest single titled “LL COOL J,” a play on the Queens-born rapper that Leikeli47 lays out as an acronym for “ladies love cool jewelry.”
Maintaining her reputation for her striking visuals, the pared back black and white video features an appearance by fashion creative Aleali May. “LL Cool J” is the debut single from Leikeli47’s debut album Shape Up, dropping on April 15th, 2022,
Featuring minimal kick beats, the single takes flight through a breathy version of Leikeli47’s gifted flow, setting the stage for a next level album. Commenting on her state of mind for the upcoming project, Leikeli47 said, “Finally walking into the confidence I always pretended to have. I’m happy to say I’m here. It took work, it takes work, and that’s what Shape Up is about.”
