Rising brand Veja has linked up with New York-based label Mansur Gavriel for a Campo sneaker collaboration. Reflecting Mansur Gravriel’s love of a monochromatic color story, the sneaker is offered in beige, blue, pink and yellow. Inspired by the colors of the rainbow, the shoe is the perfect accent for spring looks.
Leaning into sustainability, the shoe’s sole is bio-sourced and contains rice waste, Amazon rubber, and recycled rubber. The upper shoe is made of ChromeFree leather, which is free of the heavy metals and dangerous acids/dyes normally used in production. According to Veja, the ChromeFree leather, which is made in Brazil, uses 40-percent less water and 80-percent less salt in the tanning process.
Commenting on the effort, Mansur Gavriel founder Rachel Mansur told Footwear News, “We feel both brands are very classic and modern, we love that we share these brand codes of minimalism, quality, and an emphasis on clean, classic shapes. We approach bags as daily essentials that should function well and celebrate beauty. We feel Veja has this spirit in its shoes as well.”
Priced at $175, Veja and Mansur Gavriel’s sneaker is now available at Mansur Gavrie and Veja’s online store. Check out the set, and let us know which one you like best!
