Brushing off his shoulders following an arrest in Los Angeles in connection with a non fatal shooting last year, Harlem rapper and soon-to-be father A$AP Rocky has announced plans for a new single and visual titled “D.M.B.” aka “Dats Ma Bitch.” Rocky posted the single art on his Instagram feed on Tuesday (May 3, 2022) and removed it not long after.
Described as a “ghetto love story,” the single shows illustrations of Rocky and his girlfriend, Robyn Rihana Fenty, both of whom are wearing some of the outfits they were photographed in while working on a project in the Bronx and Manhattan in July of last year. There’s also a “D.M.B.” teaser showing a montage of videos taken by observers during filming.
The effort is described as written and directed by Rocky for AWGE, shot on location in New York City with additional production provided by Skepta, Hector Delgado, Krash, Nort Ollem, Shlohmo and D33J.
It’s unknown whether Rihanna will do more than appear as Rocky’s very fashionable love interest in the video. On multiple occasions over the past year Rihanna has stated she has not retired from music though she’s also refused to provide any firm dates on releasing new projects.
