Barbados-born Robyn Rihanna Fenty and Harlem native Rakim Meyers have welcomed their first child into the world, a boy who was born on May 13, 2022. While the parents haven’t made an official announcement just yet, the news was confirmed by several media outlets.
The couple confirmed rumors about the pregnancy with a series of photos shot in Harlem. While some pointed at the pink Chanel ski jacket she wore in the shoot as a hint she was having a girl, Rihanna and Rocky chose not to comment n the baby’s sex.
From the first announcement picture, Rihanna committed to fashion looks either centering or exposing her ever-expanding belly. Noting that a pregnancy wouldn’t stop her from being stylish, she told Vogue in a cover story, “When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I’m sorry, it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.”
