French label Hervé Léger has tapped celebrity stylist Law Roach to design a limited edition collection of ready-to-wear for spring 2023. Aligning with Roach’s reputation as the king of archival dressing, the 25-piece ready-to-wear assortment is inspired by the label’s archive with looks ranging from casual to dressy.
The Chicago-born Roach’s star has been steadily on the rise over the past few years as he’s gained fame as a stylist (or in his words, “image architect”) for Zendaya, Ariana Grande, and Celine Dion, among others. Roach is currently garnering additional buzz for his role as a judge on HBO’s ballroom-themed reality TV series “Legendary.”
Commenting on the effort in an exchange with WWD, Roach said, “I first dove into the Hervé archive in 2017, when I was doing ‘America’s Next Top Model’ with Tyra Banks. She was an Hervé girl and walked their runway in the ‘90s and that image is so iconic to me. So, when Christian and the Hervé team approached me with the opportunity, it was a no-brainer,” Roach told WW.”
Now owned by Authentic Brands Group, Hervé Léger has been lead by creative director Christian Juul Nielsen since 2018.
Priced from $690-$2900, Hervé Léger and Roach’s collection will launch globally in October 2022 at Hervé Léger’s stores and ecommerce site and a select list of stores.
