Lion Babe has released the visual for “Impossible,” a single that will launch on August 28th. A duo made up of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, Lion Babe first came up on our radar at a Levi’s launch party a few weeks backs where they performed and Hervey transfixed the audience (which included her very chilled and supportive mom, Vanessa Williams) with her her funky vocals and earth momma dance moves. Shades of Erykah Badu spring to mind in terms of Hervey’s vocals but really she possesses her own unique vibe and spirit and it will be fun to see her grow and develop as an artist and come into her own. Certainly there is a place for her in the pop landscape, which is currently lacking players with a deeply soulful vibe like Lion Babe’s.
