Complex has tapped a latex-covered Kylie Jenner for the cover of its October/November issue. Shot by Sasha Samsonova, images included added graphics by favorite Japanese streetwear artist Takashi Murakami.
By the by, we must be vapid as hell at Snobette because we remain steadfastly fascinated by the Kardashian/Jenner clan, entertained by their many entrepreneurial efforts, their kids and kooky relationships, not to mention their beauty and fashion choices. Whatever you may think about this crew, as very attractive women, they’ve bucked the trend of being pimped out by a single or a male-owned corporation owned by men and are for the most part doing it for themselves.
And whether it was just a matter of lucky timing and they are simply the recipient of a taste shift among the populace that was already on the move, they also represent a shift in the body standard. While granted, their look is still unattainable and in their case came about through highly-expensive surgery, at least there is now a (literally) wider view of what constitutes a beautiful female body.
