Born in Morocco and now splitting time between London and Marrakesh, artist and designer Hassan Hajaj recently announced plans to relaunch his London-based R.A.P (Really Artistic People) label, first launched in ’84 and shuttered in the early ’90s. Created out of a need for self expression through fashion, Hajjaj created R.A.P apparel and accessories mostly for his friends and peers like Soul II Soul, Omar and London Posse.
This past summer Hajajj partnered with fellow Moroccan designer Amine Bendriouich on a capsule collection of silk bomber jackets carried exclusively at Colette in Paris, and this month with the support of Cadillac he re-launches his R.A.P. collection at Sole DBX taking place in Dubai this month.
