Seattle-based The Incorporated has created a trio of velour message hoodies that let the world known where you’re coming from. This can be helpful when you’re a Caucasian because goodness knows after the surprise election results, there’s a lot of side-eyeing coming from minorities wondering who exactly put Donald Trump into office.
Our favorite hoodie is the sand-colored one that reads “American Revolution on the front and “Obama ’08” on the back, plus there’s also a red hoodie that reads “American Justice System” on the front and “Trayvon Martin Rest in Peace” on the back.
The third, navy blue hoodie is a bit more philosophical. It reads “Nacireman” on the front and on the back includes a ’50-era illustration of a dad in a suit with his son overlaid with a quote that reads: “A magic ridden people. It is hard to understand how they have managed to exist so long under the burden which they have imposed themselves.”
The quote is taken from anthropologist Horace Miner’s analysis of a made up tribe called “Nacirema,” a statement on the habits of how Americans view their own culture in comparison with others.
These three hoodies sold out, but recently were restocked at theincorporatedclothing.com.
