Fresh off an Allen Iverson Question Mid sneaker collaboration, Reebok and singer Teyana Taylor have announced plans for the “Fade” dancer to sign on for a long-term partnership with the brand. It’s a association that makes great sense because the Harlem-born Taylor is not only super stylish and physically fit, but is also known for her genuine love of sneakers.
The relationship will be kicked off with a campaign celebrating Reebok’s very iconic Freestyle, also know as the 5411s, a NYC-centric nickname referencing the shoe’s price plus tax ($54.11) when it was first released in the ’80s and saw explosive sales as a workout shoe.
Taylor’s career is on the move at the moment, thanks in part to a massive boost from her role as a dancer in Kanye West’s “Fade” music video, an appearance that led to the launch of her “Fade 2 Fitness” workout apparel.
