Lana Del Rey gave her fans a happy surprise yesterday, dropping “Love,” the first single off her fourth album and her first new music in over two years. The arrival of the single was preceded by promotional billboards, which began popping up in Los Angeles a few days ago. Del Rey has written that she wrote this album for her fans.
The song was produced by Rick Nowels, as well as Benny Blanco and Emile Haynie. On Instagram, Del Rey shouted out her fans and some of the people she worked with on the single.
“Singing at home to the new song and sending Love to you,” wrote Del Rey. “Also thinking about how thankful I am for my producer and collaborators that I get to see every day, Rick Nowels, Kieron Menzies and Dean Reid. Was great to have Emile Haynie back in the studio too, this time with Benny Blanco.”
