Marc Jacobs has provided a first look at rapper Missy Elliott, as featured on the cover of Elle magazine’s June 2017 issue. Flashing long lashes, Elliott wears a cashmere tracksuit from March Jacob’s fall 2017 line, along with a hat made in collaboration with Stephen Jones.
The editorial was shot by Mark Seliger and styled by Misa Hylton along with Elle fashion director Samira Nasr (who is amazing).
Musicians don’t randomly appear on the covers of major publications without a reason so we are guessing the feature will include an announcement on an upcoming project. Elliott dropped the single “I’m Better” in January 2017 and at the time said she was working on a documentary. She also mentioned she had enough material for several albums, but didn’t want to commit to an advance release date.
