Louisville, Kentucky-born r&b singer Bryson Tiller has released True to Self, dropping the 19-song album almost a month earlier than the initial June 23, 2017 drop date.
Along with the album, Tiller released a video for “Somethin Tells Me,” an Elijah Steen-directed visual that’s receiving a lot of praise on social media for an all black cast of women in a wide range range of skin tones. Wearing Myraswim suits, models included Shae Scott, Autumn Henry, Tatiavelli, Julia Robinson, Lala Iman, Brandi Necole, Christen Marie, among others.
True to Self is Tiller’s second album. His debut studio album, Trapsoul, was released in October 2015 and included the break out hit “Don’t,” which reached Nol 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in January 2016.
