Balenciaga has released images in its fall 2017 ad campaign. Shot by Johnny Dufort, the campaign was styled by Lotta Volkova, who also works with label head Demna Gvasalia on Vetements.
The ad pokes at the current high-end logo craze, posing the model against a backdrop that is wall-to-wall logos. According to WWD, the carpet the models sit on is the same one used for the brand’s fall 2017 presentation, held in March.
Models in the campaign include Sveta Black, Oliwia Lis, Kennah Lau and Barbra-Lee Grant, along with Danish actress Emma Leth and New York artist Eliza Douglas.
According to press, the ad is meant to reflect that of a classic French wardrobe. “Here, all the definitive components of the chic Parisian day wardrobe are put together pinpointed from the Knife stiletto up,” Balenciaga said.
