Converse has linked with Carhartt WIP on a trio of Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Ox sneakers, whose uppers are inspired by Carhartt WIP’s stylish take on workwear. Each sneaker is offered in a different material story, drill, canvas and rip stop and detailed with triple-stitching and red accents Carhart is known for.
To add some extra energy to the story, Converse and Carhartt WIP enlisted A$AP Mob’s most fashion-oriented member, A$AP Nast, to model the offerings.
The images come via Dazed Digital, who also interviewed Nast on a variety of topics, including his interest in music versus fashion as of late. “I’ve probably done more fashion than music recently. Like today, I might try on like 30 outfits before I go outside,” said Nast. “Not because I care about what people think, I just love clothing and materials and there’s nothing greater than trying on a new shoe or putting new outfits together.”
Starting June 1, 2017, all three styles will be sold at Converse and Carhartt WIP retail stores plus converse.com and carhartt-wip.com, along with select retailers.
