ComplexCon returns for a second round following its 2016 inaugural edition, with an event taking place on November 4-5, 2017 in Long Beach, California.
As previously announced, the event will be again be hosted by Pharrell Williams and Takashi Murakami, who will be joined this year by Colette co-founder Sarah Andelman, Off-White designer Virgil Abloh, reggaeton singer J. Balvin and actor/model Jaden Smith.
According to press, the music, retail, art and culture event this year will include over 150 pop-up shops with brands including Puma, Colette, Nike, Human Made, Adidas, Union Los Angeles, Concepts, RSVP Gallery, among others. Similar to last year, there will also be a speaker series.
Music once again will be a big attraction of the event with N*E*R*D announced as the show’s Saturday night headliner and Gucci Mane, M.I.A. and Young Thug headlining on Sunday night.
ComplexCon also announced Brooklyn-based Fool’s Gold Records will produce the event’s daytime Pigeons & Planes stage where the Brooklyn-based label will create a California version of its popular Day Off festival.
Fool’s Gold’s Saturday lineup includes SuperDuperKyle, A$AP Ferg, Virgil Abloh, Ski Mask The Slump God, Wifisfuneral, Dreezy, and Ronny J. On Sunday, performers include DJ Khaled, Dram, Jaden Smith, Cozy Boys, Chloe x Halle and Injury Reserve. More will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for the event will go on sale on complexcon.com on August 25, 2017, starting at 12:00 PST. Tickets to the daytime exhibition and evening concert are $75-$100 per day. For the first time, ComplexCon is also offering a limited edition VIP package that provides early access to shopping, a special concert viewing area, VIP lines for entry into the festival and more for $400.
