Freshly signed to Warner Brothers, Bay-area rapper Saweetie has released her first EP titled “High Maintenance.” The nine-track project includes her viral single”Icy Girl” and includes production by her cousin Zaytoven, No. I.D. and French beat producer CashMoneyAP.
Reflecting on the EP’s title,” the USC grad explained it’s about the people she cares about, including herself. “The relationships I have with people are very high maintenance, meaning I nurture them,” she told Billboard. Essentially, I care for them. I also pray a lot, work out, and eat well so all aspects of my life are high maintenance. Since it’s an introductory to the game, I feel like it’s appropriate way to brand myself.”
Sweetie has also released a visual for the EP’s second track, titled “B.A.N.,” a single about leaving behind a problematic relationship and moving on to live one’s best life.
