Ever the entertainer, Rihanna once again put on a memorable show with her debut Savage x Fenty presentation that was as much performance art as it was a fashion show.
The collection of fall 2019 merchandise was modeled by a diverse cast that included women of all heights, shapes and colors. Professional models included Leomie Anderson, Duckie Thot, Gigi and Bella Hadid and a pregnant Slick Woods.
Models danced, walked and generally showed out along a long platform festooned with an array of fauna and geometric-shaped tents and structures, some of which rotated.
The soundtrack for the event started with The Beatles’ “Because” and segued into songs by Sevdaliza and Catnaap. Rihanna took a walk around the runway to Elvis Presley’s “Love Me Tender” as sung by Nicolas Cage in Wild at Heart.
As styled by Jahleel Weaver, Rihanna wore a Dolce & Gabbana ruched dress with a Savage X Fenty bra and Manolo Blahnik sandals.
Following the event, Rihanna headed to 10ak wearing a black leather Gucci mini dress.
