ASAP Rocky appeared on Hot 97 yesterday, and spoke about the internet dust up that occurred last week when ASAP Nast on Snapchat accused Travis Scott of stealing ASAP crew’s swag. Stylist Ian Connor was spotted in the background of the video and then later noted he had been blocked by Travis Scott on Twitter (you can read all about that here).
In the interview (discussion begins at 13:19), Rocky tells host Laura Stylez, “If you’re going to do something and influence people, you can’t be arrogant when somebody get’s inspired,” and goes on to say “imitation is the highest form [of flattery],” implying that Scott has been influenced by his look. Rocky adds that he doesn’t know Scott very well, and when Stylez recalls paparazzi mistaking Travis for Rocky, the Harlem rapper says, “We all saw that. And it’s stuff like that that leads to the stuff that you was talking about. That’s instigation. You didn’t hear it from me. Let shorty rock. Let the people decide if he’s a biter or authentic.”
If you’re wondering about Rocky’s plaid jacket, it’s Gosha Rubchinskiy, as is his embroidered cap.
