August 16, 2023 update: During a press run promoting Sporty & Rich’s debut store in SoHo, founder Emily Oberg revealed she’s no longer dating David Obadia. However, while they’re no longer partnered romantically, Obadia is now the CEO of her brand, which is headquartered in Paris.
Meanwhile, Oberg is thought to be dating Jon Schwartz, owner of Splits59 whose father, Barry Schwartz, is the co-founder of Calvin Klein. Both home owners, the couple allegedly spend most of their time in Schwartz’s Santa Barbara, California home.
Recently Oberg visited the Throwing Fits podcast where she revealed her Beverly Hills home was robbed while she was away. She said the thief took several Chanel jackets and Hermès Birkin bags along with multiple pieces of mid-century furniture.
Oberg added that her home wasn’t insured, but after the robbery she reached out to several local furniture stores to alert them of possible incoming stolen goods. When one of the stores let her know about being contacted by the thief, she reached out to the police who arrested him. Unfortunately, her jackets and bags were not recovered.

Sporty & Rich founder and fitness expert Emily Oberg has long been a wifey ideal among a lot of her male Instagram followers. Physically fit yet still petite, she combines undeniable good looks with approachability. On top of multiple top-shelf positives, she came up through streewear and can hold her own in any exchange about the culture. This is a girl you can bring home to Mom AND carp to about Supreme‘s slow-but-sad descent into irrelevancy. What could be more ideal??
Welp, a whole bunch of guys had their wifey dreams shattered into a million pieces today (March 5, 2019) when Oberg claimed her bae on Instagram. She didn’t claim-claim him with a tag, but she may as well have with a caption under his image reading, “The absolute LOVE of my life and my number 1 priority ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
The feeling of air sadly leaking out of balloon was perfectly encapsulated by a commenter who wrote, “I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of fuccbois suddenly cried out and were suddenly silenced.”
Who is the love of Oberg’s life? It’s David Obadia, the designer behind Harmony Paris, a Paris-based fashion label themed on simplicity. Obadia is clearly just as smitten. Under an image of Oberg sipping on a glass of red wine, he wrote, “Perfection.”
Check out the happy couple below.
